Princess Requirements at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL

I was curious about what it actually takes to be a princess at Disney World, and found a fairly descriptive article with the main requirements. Here they are: resemblance to your princess, training and extensive knowledge of your specific princess movie and story, spending about an hour every day to get ready (make up, clothing, etc), nailing the princess signature, being younger than thirty years old, have a height of about 5’4 to 5’7, no tattoos, and you must be able to improvise conversation and advice.

I can say with a great deal of confidence that this is not a job I would particularly enjoy. I imagine it is absolutely exhausting and quite hot for basically the entire year, and there’s far too much of an emphasis on appearance. However, I think one of the hardest parts of the job, for me, would be the improvisation. I imagine these princesses are asked questions by hundreds of little kids every day, and that they are frequently given the opportunity to impart life lessons. I feel that I would struggle to remain in character will also teaching boys and girls powerful morals and values, especially since I believe so many of the principles in the Disney princess movies are particularly troubling.
